If Bernie gets in a few lucky punches, that’s all it takes to diminish Trump and make the media happy. Even it Bernie just holds his own, the media will celebrate it as a win.
In business as in war, you have to carefully pick your battles. Never waste precious energy and resources on insignificant skirmishes.

You may very well be correct in your opinion that the proposed debate is a bad idea for Mr. Trump. What if one of the reasons he wants to debate is to talk some sense to all those young lost souls that support Sanders? This is an opportunity where those misguided youth would actually have to listen to reason for an hour or so. Maybe some would actually start thinking on their own for the first time in their lives and question this socialist crap Bernie is “giving away”. High risk/low payoff? He’s been pretty good in his assessments so far. Time will tell.
