Michelle Obama tells graduates to reject ‘selfish’ leaders

In a swipe at Republicans in general and Donald Trump in particular, first lady Michelle Obama urged native American high school graduates Thursday to reject leaders who advocate “that we should be selfish.”

“More than ever before, our world needs you,” Mrs. Obama told students at the Santa Fe Indian School in New Mexico. “And you don’t need your first lady to tell you that. All you have to do is tune into the news and you’ll see that right now, some of the loudest voices in our national conversation are saying things that go against every single one of the values that you’ve been living at this school.”

The first lady never mentioned a candidate by name, or even a political party, but it was clear she was referring to the GOP and its presumptive nominee, Mr. Trump. She said the values of her opponents “are not the values that build strong families.”

“They’re telling us that we should disrespect others because of who they are or where they come from or how they worship,” Mrs. Obama said. “They’re telling us that we should be selfish — that folks who are struggling don’t deserve our help. That we should just take what we can from life and not worry about anyone else.”

Mr. Trump, of course, has proposed a temporary ban on Muslims entering the U.S. and has called for building a wall along the Mexican border.

Mrs. Tranny: You had the perfect opportunity to lead the Black Community with your gay partner to make the Community the best it has ever been, but no...nothing from either of you...you turned your back on them...

You see, you were so impressed with yourselves, you spent millions of our hard earned dollars for your precious vacation, instead of taking that money to incorporate clinics, teaching aides, other things that the Community needed, no you selfishly used it on how important you think you are...

My advise to you both: I would like to buy you both for what your really worth, then sell you for what you think your worth, and give that billions of dollars to the people that slave everyday to make a dollar to put food on their tables and roof over their heads....

Reject the selfish?

So reject the woman who is running to line her pockets (and provide the necessary quid pro quo reciprocity for pockets already lined) and distribute retribution to her fevered enemies list? The same woman who selfishly violated nearly every security protocol and endangered national security with her own hacktastic home brew server?

Vote for the man who has absolutely every reason to fully enjoy his golden years in peace and prosperity but instead is going through the grueling process of a national campaign for no other reason than to resurrect our once promising nation? Unselfishly??

My paternal Grandparents are probably rolling in their graves right now. Grandpa was an Instructor and eventually a Superintendent for a while at the Santa Fe Indian School from the 1930s to about 1965.

And the crap Mooch is spouting about the school and its purpose is the opposite of what I know through my grandparents.

What MONUMENTAL nerve to accuse anybody of being selfish, she who has happily run through millions of taxpayer dollars for her frivolous vacations all over the world. I worked many years to be retired and just getting by, while she and her “husband” have taken and taken everything they could grasp from we who have always paid into the system. I’m fuming.

I could go on and on, but am afraid I’ll start getting to the point where I’ll be kicked off this site.

Work hard, young folks and she and her husband will be back some day to tell you, you didn’t BUILD THAT!

Why in the devil or WHEN is probably more proper - did politics enter into commencement addresses? Schools need to make commencement speakers understand that politics will not be part of any speech at commencement...

If you can’t motivate the students to keep their noses to the grindstone and succeed with their hard work, then just stay home! We’ll find someone else who fits the bill.
