New York City is about to become a lot more disgusting
New York Post ^ | May 26, 2016 | Michael Gartland

Scofflaws of New York, rejoice — the City Council has cleared the way for you to litter, loiter and pee in the street to your heart’s content.

New legislation dubbed the “Criminal Justice Reform Act” was passed by lawmakers Wednesday, giving miscreants a get-out-of-jail-free card by eliminating the criminal penalties on a raft of quality-of-life crimes.

The disgusting and disturbing acts that the council voted to decriminalize include drinking alcohol out of a paper bag, lurking in parks after hours, urinating in the street and making enough of a racket to violate the noise code.

Under the legislation, which Mayor Bill de Blasio is expected to sign, offenders will face only civil summonses instead of criminal citations.

Quality of life crimes lead to major crime. People who urinate or defecate in public should be put in pink jumpsuits and required to clean the dirtiest streets in New York for a period of time, based on the extent of their offense. Ditto for graffiti “artists”.

In India you can go wherever the need calls. That’s what gutters are for.

If that is what pulls your trigger, then move to India and stay.

I’ve only been to NY once. And it was far more than enough. And that was when Giuliani was Mayor.

Living only a couple of hours from NYC and being retired I take day trips to Manhattan on a pretty regular basis.Manhattan,at least,is a very exciting place and there's always something new and exciting to be experienced. However,I have two hard and fast rules...1) I'm always on my way out of the city before sunset and 2) there are many parts of the city that I won't go near.

Not even in daylight!

The search engine here is no Google. Actually Google likely does a better job. I know GOOGLE indexes the posts in extremely short order. Likely faster than NSA and The Lyncher’s FBI.

A lot more? They passed the point of no return a long time ago. It’s a sewer, rivaling even San Fransicko for top spot.

That doesn’t answer the question. Why do you think it is your job and others like you to jump on another FRiend for posting something important that may have been posted before? WHY? There are MANY duplicates posted here; so f’n what? Just skip over it if you read it before; not everyone has the time to stay here all day and appreciate the read!

Because I'm a butthole and lots of folks don't appreciate my humor.

What is it with you people who criticize someone for posting an article previously posted but not discovered in a search? The search engine here leaves a lot to be desired.

Bravo.... I have not posted new articles but I have a terrible time using the search feature to find news.

I guess New Yorkers enjoy living in open sewers. I guess I’ll have to remove that place from my places to visit. I was going to visit right after I got back from Mogadishu and Sierra Leon.

It’s been a couple years since I last saw that. Ugh.

I still got a kick out of this comment:

“Actually, this is exactly how America does it, using violence to beat the Indians [Native Americans] to death, pushing the Asian, African, and poor out into the country, running the poor white people into the surrounding outskirts of the cities. America’s police are even more terrible than China’s chengguan. If you’re within two meters of a police officer, you have to raise your hands, otherwise American police have the right to shoot you dead.”
