Liberals live in a world free of facts and historical perspective. They maintain that Japan was on the verge of surrender and we didn't need to bomb them. This is in spite of the fact that we fought an immensely bloody island hopping campaign against them where they simply didn't surrender. Further, we dropped an atomic bomb on them and they STILL didn't surrender. We had to drop a second one before they got the point.

But hey, the left says Japan was ready to make nice so we were the bad guys. Whatever.

When you are on the verge of victory, YOU get to choose when your enemy is going to surrender, not them. I think the timing might have been better with, say, half a dozen more A-bombs. Unfortunately, we didn’t have any more. Bummer!
