Cell Phone Radiation Boosts Cancer Rates in Animals; $25 Million NTP Study Finds Brain Tumors
Microwave News ^ | mAY 26, 2016

Posted on 05/26/2016 5:46:45 AM PDT by Maceman

The U.S. National Toxicology Program (NTP) is expected to issue a public announcement that cell phone radiation presents a cancer risk for humans. The move comes soon after its recently completed study showed statistically significant increases in cancer among rats that had been exposed to GSM or CDMA signals for two-years.

Discussions are currently underway among federal agencies on how to inform the public about the new findings. NTP senior managers believe that these results should be released as soon as possible because just about everyone is exposed to wireless radiation all the time and therefore everyone is potentially at risk.

The new results contradict the conventional wisdom, advanced by doctors, biologists, physicists, epidemiologists, engineers, journalists and government officials, among other pundits, that such effects are impossible. This view is based, in part, on the lack of an established mechanism for RF radiation from cell phones to induce cancer. For instance, earlier this week (May 22), a medical doctor in Michigan wrote an opinion piece for the Wall Street Journal stating that, “There is no known mechanism by which mobile phones might cause brain tumors.” He went on to argue that there is no need to warn the public about health risks.

Yeah, but the poor animals don't know any better than to hold a radio transmitter to their head 24/7, unlike people...

Oh wait...

Very few people hold a phone to their head anymore.

Further, we are inundated with “radiation.” It comes from the sun and from thousands of pieces of technology from lights to garage door openers to the microwave downlink between your city and the next. If there was a clear link to small does of radio energy and cancer we would know about it in clear, uncertain terms. Another study recently posted on FR said exactly the opposite of this one.

$25 Million NTP Study (The U.S. National Toxicology Program)

a medical doctor in Michigan wrote an opinion piece for the Wall Street Journal stating that, “There is no known mechanism by which mobile phones might cause brain tumors.”

That means, the doctor's free unsolicited opinion, has more value than the twenty-five million dollar purchased "opinion" of the gubmint.

Does that mean maybe the few hundred million dumass women who shove their cell phones in their bra might think twice about it?

Nah...........

Interesting how the article says:

"The U.S. National Toxicology Program (NTP) is expected to issue a public announcement that cell phone radiation presents a cancer risk for humans. The move comes soon after its recently completed study showed statistically significant increases in cancer among rats that had been exposed to GSM or CDMA signals for two-years."

But the NTP website says:

"2 years (Whole Body Exposure) (C20105) Histopath in progress" as of May 24, 2016

I think I'll just wait until the pathologists finish their work, and then the statisticians do their work, and then somebody actually writes up the results. As opposed to relying on speculation as to what the results might be, or the statements of "reliable sources" who don't want their name used.

“Very few people hold a phone to their head anymore.”

Probably true, but this doesn't include teenagers, who appear to often do this, (when they're not texting or doing social media). I've tried to be very objective about this topic, and most of the studies I've seen have shown no link, but I will be interested to see this study - including the methodology and rates of exposure. To be honest, I really think teenagers, whose brains will continue to develop into their 20s, should limit their exposure. Not to mention that it would help them to develop maturity in other aspects of their lives..

Was this 24/7 exposure? Or several minutes per day, or only when their signals were still good?.................

Agree. Plus, if they are still doing analysis then the control vs. exposed groups should remain blinded to those doing the analysis. Thus, at this point no one should be able to comment on results that haven’t been completed.

The vast majority of adults have had cellphones for 10 years or more. People just aren’t keeling over from cellphone caused cancer. More BS hype to try to get more government money or to be able to sue “evil cellphone companies”.

No, this not the solution.

The solution is to take them away from your rats.
