Glenn Beck makes admission to CNN: ‘I’ve been wrong about Donald Trump every step of the way!’

Glenn Beck admitted that he’s been wrong every step of the way about Donald Trump this presidential election cycle.

Beck went on CNN to discuss a possible jump aboard Trump’s candidacy, despite calling him a “pathological narcissistic sociopath.” He told host Alisyn Camerota that “Unlike some politicians I say what I mean and mean what I say.”

“I’m not suddenly in love with Donald Trump or a supporter of Donald Trump,” Beck said, while also saying that he’s not endorsing anyone in the race. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Tx was the first politician he had ever endorsed.

“I will tell you this. The secret behind Donald Trump, because I have been wrong about Donald Trump every step of the way,” said Beck. “I just didn’t think that this would work. I just didn’t think people would take him seriously.

“I thought people would have a problem with some of the things that he said,” Beck continued. “But they haven’t. And when you see that the Bernie Sanders people are now saying a quarter of them, in some polls, are saying that they will come over to Donald Trump, it’s not about Marxism, it is not about capitalism, it is not about policy, it is about destroying the system that has been lying to us on both sides for as long as I’ve lived.”

Beck said the democrats and republicans are both out of touch with voters, hence the revolt and deep following of candidates like Trump and Sen. Bernie Sanders.

Meanwhile, Beck said Hillary Clinton is running her campaign like it’s 2008.

“Hillary Clinton doesn’t realize that the game has entirely changed,” Beck said. “She is playing the old main line politician that will say whatever they have to say to get elected. Donald Trump, I think also says whatever he has to say to get elected, but in a completely different way. It is not about what he is saying, as much as it is how he is saying it.”

RE Beck:
After this latest fiasco with Brad Thor, never mind; Trump needs to keep Beck FAR AWAY from him. Beck seems to have become completely unhinged...

I FULLY agree on the illness, the drug addiction, and the impact it had on his third marriage. I think Marta could not cope with his addiction and, simultaneously, with his pain quotient. It’s interesting that she, especially, has been 100% silent (certainly part of the divorce, but even so, there are ways to leak things, so she has been extremely loyal. I think she’s still a fan.)

Rush let his love of Cruz’s POSITIONS override his common sense about Cruz as a person. I drifted away from Cruz, then ran away from him, because of the utter sleaze coming from the campaign of a so-called Christian. Everyone makes mistakes, but Cruz flatly denied them and engaged in underhanded tactics-—yes, they may have been legal, but the Apostle Paul said to avoid even the appearance of evil.

This really hurt Rush and his analysis (David’s too) because he could never understand why conservatives and evangelicals were not siding with Cruz. He did a much better job than anyone else, but because he didn’t want to criticize Cruz, he could just never wrap his arms around why Cruz became to toxic.

Funny, isn’t it, that Trump who was supposed to be toxic ran a pretty darn straight, normal campaign and Cruz was involved in the shady stuff? Anyway, I think Rush’s moderation still caused him to retain listeners who just quit some of the others in frustration. Hannity came out the winner, and intellectually I think he is the most lightweight of all. Prior to the campaign, he would just regurgitate the same phrases every show and have the same little panels of guests on. But he has been extremely fair to ALL candidates during this cycle.

Also, I agree that because Rush taught us how to spot bias in the media, how to uncover liberalism in policies, he has made himself somewhat less necessary than he was 20 years ago.
