KNOXVILLE A three-day operation by Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and detectives with the Knoxville Police Department to combat human trafficking in Knoxville has resulted in the arrest of 32 men and women on prostitution and human trafficking-related charges. Two of the men, including a childrens minister, responded to ads for what they thought were girls under the age of 18. The Knoxville anti-trafficking operation, called Operation Someone Like Me, is the fifth operation of its kind in the state between the TBI and partner agencies to help identify, investigate and prosecute trafficking, and rescue victims.

Too bad public hangings are no longer done in cases such as this.
i’m afraid this is a case of sensationalist reporting. There was a human trafficking operation going on, and it let to an ordinary prostitution sting. Most all of those arrested were for simple prostitution and soliciting, including the preacher (as of my original reading back when it happened). They responded to Backpage ads and when they showed up to meet their prostitute they got busted. Makes a nice headline though.
“Too bad public hangings are no longer done in cases such as this.”
You have to get to them before the police do.
Thirty babyrapers picked up in Tennessee, just another day. Right now their relatives are seeing Uncle John's name in the paper and blanching white remembering how much time he spent unsupervised with their children.
Any douche who traffics in children, needs to swing from a long rope on a tall tree.
True words
So he is caught on the sting and your argument is it ain’t that bad because I of age? You think a pastor should be engaging in prostitution?
my bad. while many of those arrested were for simple prostitution, the preacher did respond to an ad for what he thought was an underage girl, according to the TBI article.
no, my argument was that based on the original article I had read when it first occurred (I live in the area and saw it on facebook) it looked like they were taking the preacher part and the underage part and making a headline to create clicks to a website. Reading further at the TBI link, the preacher dude did respond to an ad for what he thought was an underage girl. Very bad indeed. The sad truth is you have to question anyone’s motives who seek to work with children.
really??? ok, I guess wanting to buy children for sex is “ordinary” for you...
I cannot even imagine what type of thing wants to use children for sex...
Got it.
And yes it is sad but true
