Well, I just watched a bunch of them get thoroughly “douched” with pepper spray by the Albequerque cops.

Your comment is a bit over the top. I don't want to come across as a badge licker, but those cops were obviously ordered not to arrest people.
They’re deadly serious, emphasis on ‘deadly’.
People I think don’t take them seriously because of the black attempts at a “New Africa” or somesuch that never amounted to scratch because the organizers and participants were either hopelessly clueless idealists or the latest bunch of watermelon thieves who’d learned to hide behind a ‘cause’.
