Federal prosecutors will seek the death penalty for a white man accused of killing nine black parishioners at a historic church in Charleston, South Carolina, last June, the U.S. Justice Department said on Tuesday.
“The nature of the alleged crime and the resulting harm compelled this decision,” Attorney General Loretta Lynch said in a statement.
Dylann Roof, 22, is accused of opening fire on June 17, 2015, during a Bible study session at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston. …

He deserves it for murder, of course. But, I suspect there’s a racial political push here, too. There’s not much the DOJ does these days that doesn’t have political overtones.
Yeah, I would say killing half a dozen people at a Bible Study merits the death penalty.

Well, offender being white certainly plays into it, especially when the victims are black. Not saying in the least that this sentence isn't warranted, just pointing out the utter duplicity of a leftist regime (where's Mumia nowadays?)
Whatever sentence he gets, I hope he can repent and sincerely seek mercy from the Lord before he dies--- or there's worse coming.
I would think that anytime a "special" group is involved, it becomes a federal issue. They'll soon take over all law enforcement, because their "special" groups are embedded in society.
Will they do the same for the San Bernardino wiser and abettor?
