I’m convinced hydrocarbons are abiotic and produced by tectonic processes deepn in the Earth’s mantle. The Russians did some research in that direction, but I don’t think they figured it out exactly or the whole fossil fuel myth would have been definitively repudiated.
Here’s the deal. The earth heats up and then the earth cools down and then the earth heats up and then the earth cools down. Man has little to no effect. Cow farts even less effect. :-)
