Carnegie Vanguard High School’s one act play had a little something for everyone: depictions of male-on-male rape, male-on-female rape, filthy language, on-stage urination, and an actress who simulated wiping her private parts at center stage.
Oh yes, there was also a scene where a male cast member turned his back to the audience and dropped his pants, as fellow cast members deliver dialogue about the size of his appendage.
“People were disgusted and there was complete shock at what they had just seen,” he told me. “Elementary-aged children were exposed to this show.”
The district released a statement defending the theatrical production – noting they are “extremely proud” and they stand by the students “100 percent.”

Want to get their attention? EVERY parent with kids in that brothel should keep them out until it is stopped. No students in school = no federal money = schools shut down. Putting property taxes in escrow might also work (check with a good lawyer). Then get the kids permanently out of public brothels.
But if one of the students had said a short prayer the whole thing would have been shut down.

All those buzzwords to make it seem like they were keeping the younger children in mind when they were basically assaulting and degrading them as well as everyone else. Implicit in the statement you quoted is the assumption that author’s judgement is above reproach, while I find it beneath contempt. Why are the only issues that matter to them the ones that debase us as human beings, why not those that elevate us, and show mankind’s potential to transcend?

Slight problem: The parents apparently love this stuff, as witnessed by the glowing tribute in the local paper written by a cast member's proud mama. Isn't Houston the city that elected the lesbian mayor who pioneered cross-dressing in public potties?
If the parents are happy with this garbage, fine. Those who aren’t need to step up and take action that will hurt.
Yes,Houston elected a lesbian who has twice tried to censor free speech and have approval over sermons in church. Courts smacked her hard in those cases.
Houston is “special.” It’s got a huge homosexual community in the Montrose area. It did have a lesbian mayor for a while. And sadly it houses the US House District of Sheila Jackson-Lee.
