And the controversial North Texas pastor leads one of the world's biggest and most influential Baptist churches, First Baptist in Dallas.

A good question deserving of a very long answer but perhaps looking at Marxists’ ‘long march through the institutions’ is the best explanation as homosexuality has been normalized, weaponized, and propagandanized (?), along with homosexuals working and congregating in industries where the propaganda can be issued: Hollywood/TV, media, and, of course, education. Now government is infested and we all know how that will turn out.

Muslims have been watching and taking notes as they play the ‘hey leave us alone we’re red-white-and-blue productive members of society too’ card while implementing and advocating Sharia law wherever they obtain a majority.

What both groups don’t understand is that they are simply anvils on which the left can hammer society into an unrecognizable shape.

They have a huge advantage in what Mark Twain described as the pet vanity of simple-hearted souls. Humans are addicted to the flow of endorphins: it explains the drive to eat, to sleep, to have sex, to compete and, unfortunately, for the individual to believe that he is special, compassionate, fair, loving, caring and that he will eventually receive some sort of honorific for being so, even if he has to make his own ribbon or trophy. I’m not one for ‘expert’ advice but society, medicine, religion et al have issued guidelines against too much of a good thing in all areas (food, sex, drink, sleep) except one: self-congratulation.

Lefties are fond of declaring various ‘epidemics’ (especially guns) but the PANDEMIC of runaway ego is the biggest threat, most of all to those who don’t realize what they regard as ‘live and let live’ is actually harmful and, usually, hypocritical since we have seen time and again that these ‘tolerant’ people will break into a full sprint to join a mob.

Portraying illness and depravity as normal in turn influences a huge number of people but if there are any holdouts the so-called educators and commentariat get involved to shame them. It is a strong, independent individual indeed who can come through years, even decades of cloying appeals to self-regard and, if that fails, bitter spittle-flecked invective as a ‘hater’ simply because he has maintained his objectivity. That is not ego...that is merely survival and sanity.

Actually I just got off the phone with a representative of this store chain, and he admitted he was responsible for allowing certain Hallmark cards in the store.

I had a long, respectful but determined conversation with him, and he will see about getting the cards removed.

Stay tuned.

I’m usually very anti-Megachurch, but this pastor has gone out to address the culture more than just about anyone else. Most don’t want to draw undue attention and hurt their bottom line, the coward’s way.

Kudos to Dr. Jeffress.

"A Dallas-based LGBT resource center is calling on Dallas leaders to cut ties"

What does this even mean?

In common Sodom dialect, it means to tax them, or throw the pastor in jail.

Today, Dallas pretty much is “Austin North”.

The local Austin, TX (uber lib central) evening news last night was trying its hardest to twist the pastor’s words around. It failed.

"I've said often the greatest thread to freedom of religion in America is not ISIS, it's the chamber of commerce," the pastor said on the radio. "I mean, it's the businesses that say to our representatives, 'Oh, don't pass laws like that."

I don't see anything inaccurate about that. Someday ISIS might pose a direct threat to freedom of religion in the USA, but the CoC and our own courts are leading the assault right now.

Why are only statements by conservatives considered “Controversial”?

"Typically, the greeting card space in grocery stores are not managed directly by the store but by the greeting card jobber."

It's the same with books and magazines. The people who handle that aren't direct employees of the store.

"Why are only statements by conservatives considered “Controversial”?"

I've asked the same question many times. The same goes for the word "divisive." Something is only labeled "divisive" when the conservative view is being expressed.

"cut ties"

According to the article, the "ties" consist of the police chief attending a pro-police church-sponsored event. In other words, it doesn't sound like the city has any official "ties" with the church, but that the chief and perhaps other officers have attended events at the church. So the LGBT folks apparently want to prohibit city employees from attending church events even as private citizens, or perhaps when in uniform. It isn't clear.

Even Time magazine had a cover story on corporate support of LGBT issues, so what the pastor says is certainly true.

Because they are the freakiest of the freaks and our parents were right that its an abomination and now they’ve been unleashed? Or just part of the globalist strategy of deconstructing everything.
