President Obama is visiting Vietnam today and paused for a picture with communist party President Tran Dai Quang in front of a bust of Ho Chi Minh.
Perhaps it’s just me, but given the nature of the diplomatic relationship this specific optic seems rather inappropriate.

I don't believe anything about this photo was an accident. I assume Obama wanted to send the message that he supports Vietnamese communism and their killing of American soldiers. Our communist leader succeeded in communicating exactly what he thinks of everyone who has ever opposed communism.
HBO had a production some years ago too big to fail. In it, there was a scene where Paulson’s daughter was holding a chinese flag and Paulson had her removed from view saying he did not need the anguish that would cause...bad optics. Here, the black prince is doing just that, except he wants the optics to show this. If they had an anti aircraft gun near by, he would have climbed up on that too.
(had he manned an AA gun, I would wish he would look down the barrel at the time someone decided to shoot off a demo round).
I want Obama to live for a very long time. Whether he repents his totalitarian ways and becomes a good man (unlikely but possible), or bitterly watches his entire legacy disassembled until there is no evidence other than a footnote in the history books that he ever seized power, or we descend into a civil war caused by his lust for power, I’d like him to live to see the end game.
I wonder if he’ll get a shop straddling a gun so he can be just like Jane Fonda?

Obama is systematically embracing the symbolism of our enemies.... Castro, Che, Ho Ci Min, etc. if this is not a stick in the eye of America, what is it. Sure wish it wasn’t too late to impeach Obama and that we had members of congress with enough respect for America to do so.
