Somebody in our govt has got a geopolitical strategy of chest bumping both China and Russia
Not sure what they hope to gain
The joke will be on us when China makes its currency move
But Apparently the 1970’s called and wanted its geopolitical games to resume

Hussein does NOT like CHina. In this he seems a tad conflicted. He hates America and seems to boost America's enemies but his upbringing in Indonesia would have included a lot of Indonesian animosity toward China and the Chinese. And China is not Moslem, is, in facr anti Moslem in that it wisely suppreses its own Moslem population. All told that must set up a certain amount of confusion in his mind.
That said, I believe that the decision to sell arms to Viet Nam is a good one. We cannot afford to cede the South Sea to China. That would put all surface trade in SEA and a huge portion of world trade under the control of China. In the case of war, either great power war or local war involving China, ceding control of that area is like ceding the Atlantic to the Kaiser in 1913.
