I do respect the Ten Commandments, but in all fairness, you must concede that neither the term “conservative” nor the term “libertarian” can claim such purity as to escape their many modern applications.

As Lord Halisham asserted, Principled Conservatism is attitudinal and behavioral in temperament. Unlike Socialism or Marxism, its focus is neither ideological nor religious. I simply used the Ten Commandments as an analogy to highlight the concept of right and wrong. Put it this way. Isn’t “ Thou shall not kill” intuitive because w/o this rule society would disintegrate? I have no idea what you’re getting at or referencing about purity???
Conservatism is a set a principles for “this world” and makes no claims to direct us to the” other world”. It is anchored by Ancient Greece, the foundation of western civilization, whose wise men included Pericles, Solon, Plato; among many others.
