We've seen so much of culturally clueless people, such as Obama and Niki Haley, who have done horrible cultural damage at least partially because they were brought up in environments where the parents were not in tune with US history, customs, and law. Being a naturalized parent signifies that the parents have sufficient knowledge of their country to bring up children in our traditions.
I'm sure Trump will get a thorough media colonoscopy.

ParentS may be Naturalized, Natural Born; or one Parent may be Naturalized and the other Natural Born; or they may both be Naturalized or both Natural Born.
The ONLY requirement to be a Natural Born Citizen is to be born In America to ParentS who are American Citizens at the time of one’s birth....Period!

Politico also recently did a story on Trump’s Scottish mother and family. It’s quite biased against Trump, but it contained some interesting information I thought:

Perhaps the humble origins of the MacLeods of Lewis (mostly poor fishermen) is part of the reason why Trump seems to fit in with the common man in spite of his billions.
