Much ado is being made about Trumps latest effort to prove, contrary to palpable fact, that he cares for and will respect the Constitution. He released a list naming 11 people he would consider nominating to the Supreme Court
When I perused the list my personal knowledge caused one name to leap from the page William Pryor. Pryor now sits on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, having been nominated for that position by George W. Bush in 2003. It was also in 2003 that he came to prominence as the Alabama attorney general who first called for the removal of Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore from his position, and then personally prosecuted the case to secure his removal by the Alabama Court of the Judiciary.

Worthy of consideration......
Trump chose not to pick Roy
He’s where he has always been
He doesn’t have the right background for the job, duh.

Contrary to palpable fact? Oh Really? Seems to me Trump is the ONLY one defending the Constitution. Clinton tries to destroy it.
I am from Alabama (now living in Georgia) and I love Roy Moore mostly from the fact that he is willing to spit in the face of the idiots at the Federal level BUT he is not someone you put on the list. It looks like Trump has thrown down the gauntlet but this would be throwing a pipe bomb and would lead to the media questioning the entire list of possible appointees. Roy Moore is too much of a polarizing figure.
Roy Moore would overshadow anything the Court would try to do. He’s a good man no doubt, but he’d be a huge distraction I think.
Roy Moore should stay in Alabama. He is great there.

I agree, but some people like Alan Keyes just can’t be happy with a very good list of potential justices.
Andrew S. Hanen should be high on the list.
Could not be confirmed by any imaginable Senate.
Moore would be a great addition to the Court, much like Thomas has been. Presuming the Republicans continue control the Senate any failure to confirm would be theirs and theirs alone.
Be realistic. Not a good choice, A good man, yes. Too old too controversial.
Yes, and besides that, Moore is probably gonna be thrown off the court again by the end of Summer (for bucking the system as usual). Then he’ll try to be the next Governor.
It’s a fun time here in Alabama this year.
Yes, he can try for him later. Your assessment is correct.
How old is Judge Roy Moore? Age should be a consideration, imo.
Alan Keyes. Another one who’s about as batshit crazy as Levin, someone who’s never won an election in his life but somehow thinks that he holds sway in a party that he’s not even part of anymore.
Too old for SCOTUS appointment irregardless of other factors.
Leni
Judge Moore will be 70 next February.
Thanks....... my point.....
