What benefits to the US derive from having Islam here?
The presence of Moooslims assuages liberal guilt. Other than that there is no benefit to having them.

Think of how many more people are employed as security screeners in airports, stadiums, arenas, etc...
The metal detector industry is booming too.
There are lots of people who benefit from them being here.
