My fear now is that ISIS or al-Qaeda may now target a larger airliner to really make their point. The notoriety of bringing down something as big as an Airbus A380 will be gigantic, to say the least.

Cause: Islam On Board.

I am going to repeat this every chance I get. The US Constitution is not a suicide pact. Islam - in it's entirety - should not be protected by the first amendment. Islam is every bit a political party with a goal of world domination by force of submission, as it is a "religion" (IMHO not "of peace").

Both of these ideologies cannot be protected by the US 1st Amendment. I supported Ben Carson 1,000% when he proclaimed a Muslim should never be President of the USA.

“My heart goes out to the victim’s loved ones.”

Mine too. Every corner of the world has innocent people, and every corner of the world has innocent people who get hurt by those who are not so innocent.

Because it was out over the sea and too high for man portable missiles. The only things that could touch it are missiles the size of telephone poles that require multiple large radars and a computer installation in support to fire, i.e., a warship. No warships in the area, it’s a very congested shipping lane and nobody reported seeing a fire-farting telephone pole being launched - they are rather obvious.

Got some really bad news for you...

Dearborn engineers *have* designed flying machines.

Also, IIRC, both Boeing and Airbus have previously experienced issues that affected multiple different models despite being supposedly different designs.

Can’t see an altimeter bomb going off where it was, it hadn’t begun descent yet. Command or timer detonated is more likely, I think.

I’m pretty sure these aircraft don’t have missile warning systems..

My guess is that the plane made those maneuvers because the tail of the plane and the wings were no longer working in harmony - for whatever reason..

Plane veers hard right - pilots try to regain control with zero tail presence - that’s all..

I do know that hitting a moving target at that altitude and speed from sea level requires a lot of technology and ordinance.. and in that region you’d have to have a lot of collusion because every military in the region would see the missile launch..

My 2 pennies..

That said, somebody should tell them they do not drown if they hit the water at that velocity...

My mistake, I think it was the Malaysia MH370.
