They are using a letter of understanding between the aft,va & dept of [IN]justice under the Brady handgun control act of 1993. And I have been in this mess for the last 11 years fighting it. But ALL I get is lip service from the nra, my “so called” elected officials, NO lawyer will take up the cause & NO court will hear my pleas. I could give up ALL my veteran benefits to get my 2 Amend. Rights restored. All you have to do is become 100% disabled [listed as] & then have a fiduciary assigned, and BLAM they got you by the short curlies. In my case the va rep went around to all my neighbors, friends & family & had them sign off on a letter that they understood as long as I was around they were NOT to have a fire arm either & I am subject to random “health & comfort” inspections UNANNOUNCED of course, just to see if I am ok, but gives them a reason to snoop around.
But there is a huge loophole in the aft regulations. They do NOT consider Air Rifles to be dangerous/lethal. So I may have air rifles. Poor bastards, little do they understand the first military semi automatic rifle was an air rifle, the Girardoni air rifle & it was used against Napoleon by the Austrians, & by the Lewis and Clark journey of discovery across the country.
Just,
DANG!
The mentally deficient should not be able to purchase a firearm.
That's the law. And it always has been.
