Another high-ranking NYPD officer has been disciplined amid the wide-ranging federal probe into alleged police corruption, law-enforcement sources said Wednesday.

Brooklyn South Borough Inspector Peter DeBlasio was put on desk duty after he refused to answer questions before a federal grand jury hearing evidence in the case, sources said.

FBI agents also had gone to DeBlasio’s home twice to interview him, the sources said.

Captain’s Benevolent Association President Roy Richter said he was surprised by the department taking disciplinary action against DeBlasio.

No need to wonder whether Peter DeBlasio is related to the Mayor of the same name, since the Mayor’s name is fake.

too bad Teddy Roosevelt is not the Police Commissioner as he was just before the turn of the last century. He would have smoked all this out real fast.

He could very well be related to him. DeBlasio is not a common Italian name.

I believe that DeBlasio’s real name is Wilhelm. I also am given to understand that the name DeBlasio was some family name, possibly an in-law. He chahged it because he couldn’t stand the name Wilhelm; guess everyone called him Kaiser.

The Mayor changed his last name to his mother’s (which was DeBlasio).
