In the 1996 elections, there were more people who didn’t vote, than did. I’m not aware of any laws in place, so if only a dozen people cast ballots, the election would still count. When more people stay home than vote, perhaps there needs to be new candidates or something.
That is why with Trump as the GOP frontrunner, it could get more people out to vote this November.
