The vast majority of presidential candidates are far more flawed than the public knows at election time. At least we know a lot about these two going in (unlike the current squatter at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue).
Anyone who WANTED to know did know that the current resident was a disaster seeking an office in which to happen. He was elected by people who refused to know the truth.
