Just lie through your teeth and tell them there are no guns in the house. Of course, what you do is up to you, but that’s how I plan to handle it if the situation arises.

Whether or not dishonesty is a vice depends on the context. It's not a vice to lie to criminals, Nazis, or any other type of tyrannical government, when there is a treat to one's natural rights.

My doc may be in trouble.

There are some questions that he just skips because he says it isn’t any of his business.

In the Big 10, the commandment is “Thy shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor”. Doesn't really cover white lies if your wife asks if this dress makes her look fat. Doesn't cover telling a thief that you don't keep cash in the house.

And while Jesus said to render unto Caesar, the things that are Caesar's, my question is why should Caesar be the only one to make that call. Not that I cheat on my taxes. All my income is salary and 401K, there's no room.

Again, being legalistic here, Jesus basically said it was lawful to pay taxes, but HE DID NOT SAY that it was unlawful to refuse.

I will probably get some flak for this statement. If so, I will reply as I have time.
