WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Senate unanimously backed President Barack Obama's nomination of Eric Fanning as secretary of the Army on Tuesday, making him the first openly gay leader of a U.S. military service branch.
Fanning previously worked as undersecretary of the Air Force and chief of staff to Defense Secretary Ash Carter.

Unless something changes my family’s proud military tradition is ending with this generation.

I am the 4th straight generation military in my family (that I know of). I was in submarine duty though.
I have to be straight, I wouldn’t want my son going to some desert war.

I am probably thinking of when this guy was nominated last fall..
University feminists stated during the 1980s, that they intended to shut down our military forces. They said, with an assumption that war is always unnecessary, that women in national leadership positions wouldn’t start wars. Some of the wealthiest men on our planet have also been saying that there will be no more wars.
It’s the consensus in contemporary American political, business and academic leadership. Even most of the wealthiest investors are trying to avoid any wars for any reasons regardless of near-future consequences. They only care about the wealth that they can take today by any means.
They only care about the “oil,” the “wine,” merchant trade and the like. National security is not their priority. Thus, the aversions against stopping nuclear buildups in rogue states, stopping rich terrorists from migrating to the U.S. (money), etc.
