The U.S. Army announced Tuesday that accused deserter Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl's court-martial is delayed until Feb. 6, 2017.
This seven-month delay comes as the respective legal counsels filed their motions Tuesday morning at Fort Bragg, N.C. His court-martial had been scheduled for Aug. 8.
Army Judge Col. Jeffery Nance presided over the 35-minute hearing, discussing dates and specific legal motions with attorneys. Charges against Bergdahl include desertion and misbehavior before the enemy.
Stars and Stripes reported the delay gives attorneys time to pore through classified documents that may contain evidence.

I could be wrong about this, but since the trial, and expected conviction, occur after Obama leaves office, he will not be able to issue a pardon since Bergdahl will not be found guilty at that point in time. In other words, I doubt if a pardon can be given before a court’s judgment has been rendered.
Better to put him on trial after the election and when Trump is president.
At this rate, he’ll either retire or finish his hitch and get out of the military.
President Trump will not be kind to this “traitor” . I fully expect his execution— and rightly so. Men died looking for his traitor butt.
Nixon was pardoned before any charges were filed.
Obama could pardon him tonight.

I can’t recall the exact wording, but I think Obola could pardon Bergdahl before he goes on trial under his Constitutionally enumerated powers.
More time to examine documents?????? And how much time have they had? Either we have incompetency on both sides of the table or the WH has raised its ugly head and doesn’t want I to start until they are gone.
This is so Obama can pardon him on his way out the door.
Rather than Fix=In, it might mean CIC manipulation and intimidation=Out, since the new hearing date is not until after the inauguration.

Couldn’t find him guilty before Obama left office. That would show how absolutely treacherous and traitorous the deal was from top to bottom.
No...they are now going to wait until we have a new President in office to find him guilty.
By all rights, he should serve 20 years at Leavenworth at least.
