The Nuclear Option: Founders Smiling On Trump For Returning Power To The People
Breitbart.com ^ | May 17,2016 | Charles Hurt

Unruly voters have elected an opportunistic showman as their presidential nominee. They were aided by infiltrators in the primary who were not even Republicans. The nominee, Donald Trump, is a reality star billionaire real estate developer who has a history of vacillating political allegiances. He even made campaign donations to the most evil countess of the Democratic Party, Hillary Clinton, who is designed to be her party’s nominee against Mr. Trump.

>>>...both parties have fallen into the deep rut of partisan blindness. On both sides of the aisle, party politics comes before American interests at every turn.

Both Democrats and Republicans in Congress have unilaterally surrendered vast amounts of power to the presidency. Congress — the first branch of government closest to the will of the people — has been neutered.<<<

Sad, but true.

I'm not buying the "aided by infiltrators who were not 'pubs" meme. Those that would have been infiltrators have been too busy voting for Sanders to mess up the 'pub primaries.

What is significant is the "Mad as Hell" voter. It's amazing that in many states, BOTH Sanders and Trump earned strong majorities. That means a strong majority of voters want a non-establishment candidate.

Congress is just happy to pretend its relevant. The members are only interested in protecting their lucrative sinecures.

Its really a hollow institution.

On both sides of the aisle, party politics comes before American interests at every turn

That's the problem. We need to have term limits - 6 years in Congress, MAX.

Remember when President Reagan wouldn't be seen getting off Air Force One or Marine One without a jacket and tie (or minimally a jacket when exiting Marine One?)

What a disrespectful disgrace the Obama's are.

That all the “smart” people hate Trump... liberals and (alleged) “conservatives”... gives me good reason to support him. In reality, Trump IS the oft called for “Third Party” candidate. He just occupied the empty shell that was once the GOP. The Grand Old Party was seduced into complacency by the “royal” world of privilege and power that is modern “government” (as they now seek to rule not govern). Federal, state, local this “royal class” is living LARGE by stealing the labor and property of “we the peasants”. They pit us against each other by promising to take from some (“rich”) and give to others (amounts to little more than a rationed subsistence of a serf).

There is now little left for “we the peasants” that’s not taxed, permitted, licensed, regulated, controlled or requires a fee (at ALL levels of government!). Time for rebellion!!! Trump might not be what we want, but maybe what we need?

surrendered vast amounts of power to the presidency

I think Judge Andrew Napolitano said what we have now is a term limited monarchy.

Hurt has it only half right. He still believes their are honest conservatives in Congress. Those who he claims will keep Trump true to the Conservative message. This assessment is false! You can start with Ryan. Most up on the Hill are turncoats, more liberal than conservative. No, it will be our job, Trump’s army in reserve. When he needs our help to overpower the wussies, we better be ready to cover his back. It is the people, through President Trump’s representation, that will drive this train for the betterment of the Country. Hopefully, in time we will be able to flush out the BS saboteurs and dead wood on the Hill and replace them with true patriots who put Country ahead of personal interests.

Congress — the first branch of government closest to the will of the people — has been neutered.

The moment a Speaker and Majority Leader emerge with the balls to zero out huge sections of the Federal Budget (including the Administration's) Congress will suddenly have all the power again. Newt Gingrich merely hinted at it in November, 1994 and all of Washington went into a tizzy.

Now this is the kind of behavior that pisses off insurance companies and defense contractors...but do you want to be a powerful and patriotic American or get rich under the table? :)

That woman is NEVER happy. She’s always got a hate-America, racist snarl on. Anger on two wheels.
