Yes. They are desperate for attention. When they asked to leave them in the privacy of their own bedrooms, we said, "OK," but that wasn't enough.

They know, deep down, that their behavior is unnatural and wrong, so they have to create the false scapegoat of "hate" to explain why they still aren't happy. They force confrontation because they can't handle the fact that the rest of us don't really care.

The simple answer is: Yes! Until 1973, homosexuality was considered a dangerous mental illness by the APA. It was only Political Correctness changed this position.
