30 years ago our next door neighbor in OKC told me he hired engineers around the age of 50 for Wilson Foods. He explained that he would have the new hire for 10-20 years, he did not have to retrain him to stop poor job performance with no experience, the individual would not need as many raises and he didn’t have to worry about the competition luring him away,

It sounds to me like little has changed and may be worse today for many companies.

its not even that I don’t mind giving raises and have given plenty but the attitudes of younger workers are terrible.It’s as if they are entitled for no reason.
