Off topic, but I found this gem in Wikipedia regarding the communist Allende’s attempt to fundamentally transform Chile in 1970-3.
“On 26 May 1973, Chile’s Supreme Court unanimously denounced the Allende régime’s disruption of the legality of the nation in its failure to uphold judicial decisions. It refused to permit police execution of judicial resolutions that contradicted the Government’s measures.”
Sound familiar? Howya going to fundamentally transform a nation, if legality and constitutions get in the way?
He also blamed the failure of production of goods and food on right-wing reactionaries, as he completely ignored economic concepts that have been in effect since mankind first huddled together in a society.
