I claim BS! I retired from Perdue two years ago and as part of my job, traveled extensively to every plant they owned. The quickest way for a Supervisor to get demoted or worse was to have a claim filed with HR. Whoever wrote the article never worked for any of the leading Poultry Producers. Perdue is a Quality Employer and Jim Perdue’s name goes on every package they sell. Great Company, Great Product! (OK, I admit I'm biased but I stand by that!)

Read a similar article in the Wall Street Journal about 15 years ago about Tyson. The point was made that a lot of the workers did not speak English, and were afraid to ask for breaks.

Our boss gave me the article, and said that the people working for him should be thankful they didn’t work for Tyson. (He had been on probation due to several Employee’s complaints with HR Department).

He asked me what I thought about the article. I told him that what goes around comes around, and that if true, the supervisors would get what was coming to them in this world or the next.
