Well underway. Focusing on every possible thing that divides us can never achieve equality. Even if it did, equality is not necessarily a good outcome.
Teach people a reason to hate and you’ll get hate. Teach people That they’ve been wronged by others but and just didn’t know it and they’ll hate the others. Us and them is the most powerful societal force out there.
