Settle down folks, Ryan knows the only leverage he has against Trump is this endorsement, you can’t blame him for trying to see what he can get for it.
Let them do their little dance, Ryan will get what he can and what Trump is willing to give for it, and life will move on.
Invented drama for the press, little more.
“you cant blame him for trying to see what he can get for it”
That’s the problem with politicians, they’re always working the angles to see what’s in it for them.
Took the words out of my mouth. This is media whoring at its best. Trump is a master of it, and they are suckers every time.
Ryan has a primary challenge to think about; if anyone should be hunting for an endorsement at the moment, it is the Speaker if he wishes to keep his job...
But this is typical of RINO Ryan. He rolls over for Obama but makes the Republican running for President jump through hoops. Ryan continues to show himself as a left of center RINO who is more caught up on policy than he is with the big picture of what's happening to the United States.
What he should have said is I will support Donald Trump as the Nominee of this party but he and I have a lot of work to do to unify our party. To that end will will be meeting on a regular basis to make that happen.
Because Ryan didn't do that I will be sending some money to his primary opponent. Maybe that will wake him up to how much damage he has done to this country.
Rinsey and Ryan ET al are only there for their own personal power and enrichment. Trump sacrificed when he has somewhere better he could be.
It’s still “making sausage” in politics but at least we have one much higher quality ingredient.
-—Ryan knows the only leverage he has against Trump is this endorsement

The endorsement from a senator who is behind in his primary (to an unknown named Nehlen) and who represents a district that Trump won. Add to that, the fact that many would have stayed at home and not voted at all due to Ryans omnibus approval, if it weren’t for Trump bringing in new voters and giving old voters new hope for change.
Not really the type of leverage I would rely on when going into a negotiation.
I reckon Trump explained to Ryan exactly what his positions were going to be over the next several months, and Ryan sat there wide eyed, tight lipped and said “yes sir”.
“Mr. Ryan, the next time I want your opinion, I’ll give it to you...”
