Bill Kristol Says Anonymous People Cheering Him On To Stop Trump
Breitbart ^ | 5/11/2016 | Patrick Howley

WASHINGTON – Neoconservative pundit Bill Kristol says he is being flooded with unsolicited support from anonymous people encouraging him to keep trying to get an independent candidate to run against Donald Trump in the general election.

Weekly Standard editor Kristol is known as a Republican power broker, but since Trump’s populist primary victory Kristol has been pushing a third party that he calls “The Latter Day Republicans,” speculating that Mitt Romney, Marco Rubio, Tom Cotton, or Tom Coburn could be part of an anti-Trump ticket.

Kristol’s effort has apparently struck a chord with random strangers that Bill Kristol says he interacts with in his travels. One of Kristol’s most recent encounters took place at a “pizza place” in Penn Station in New York City, according to his garrulous Twitter account:

(snip)

Kristol’s third-party campaign doesn’t seem to be going very well. Retired Marine Corps general James Mattis turned down Kristol’s offer to help him run as an independent. Kristol has also complained about Texas’ early registration deadline for third-party candidates, which Kristol has vowed to legally challenge.

The Republican National Committee (RNC) told Breitbart News weeks ago that Kristol’s third-party bid is not supported by the party, and is only “helping to elect Hillary Clinton.”

"How in the world is that a conservative position?"

Kristol has never been a Conservative. His father, the "godfather" of the "Neocon" movement, admits that Leon Trotsky was his youthful idol. Neocons are not Conservatives, much less "New Conservatives." They grow out of the split in Bolshevism between Trotsky & Stalin.

The specific American movement reflected the fact that they later sided with anti-Communists against the Bolsheviks during the Cold War. That may have made them useful during the Cold War. It certainly did not make them conservative. Nor did it modify their penchant for trying to undermine traditional values.

They played a major role in leading George W. Bush astray.

Here is my assessment, based on their own words: Neocon Phenomenon.

How in the world is that a conservative position?

I never though of him as a conservative. When I heard Laura Ingram subtly destroy him, it confirmed my doubts. His biggest beef with Trump is that Trump doesn't want the US running off to fight wars all of the time. In other words, Kristol, like Graham want to intercede everywhere outside of the US, but surrender at home to everything.

If Bill Pistol is a conservative, where has he been over the past 7 years? He certainly had no problems with Romney and McCain and in fact endorsed them to the hilt.

That would never happen. He likes to have other people fight his battles, like his desire for us to be the world's policeman.

Totally idiotic. The fact that they consider Romney as a possible third party candidate only underscores their hypocrisy. They charge Trump for not being conservative enough because of some liberal stances he had in his past but has now renounced.

But Romney also has a very liberal past. He was pro-gay, pro-abortion, pro-gun control and pro-Obamacare type legislation. Yet, they consider him a conservative now? Give me a break.

Bill Kristol listen to my voice, don't look for a third party candidate, its you. You have the knowledge strength and wisdom to beat Trump.

There is an majority out there that feel just like you do, they will rally to your banner. Your smart and people really like you, you can be a winner!
