I’m convinced Cruz is somewhere on Autism spectrum. He has no sense of audience, and his emoting always looks as if he’s thinking “this is how a human looks sad”, “this is how a human shows sympathy” and so on.

It’s either that OR he is the most utterly charmless person to ever grace the national political stage.

I just went to a website, DailyNaturalRemedies.com which has a list of 10 indicators of Asperger's. Cruz seems to exhibit a lot of them (doesn't everybody?). One thing not on the list is Messiah Complex. Makes me think your hunch about Asperger's is a valid hypothesis for Cruz, maybe with some other things also.
