He could have taken the high road in this primary and used lofty rhetoric to rise above, but instead he got in the trenches with the Donald and diminished his self. I don’t understand why he couldn’t see how going toe to toe with Trump killed him, Rubio, and Bush at various times. He should have gone brainy Constitutionalist. He might have won.
You have a point. As the Donald pointed out the day Cruz suspended, you gotta have the right temperament to slug it out toe-to-toe. Cruz doesn’t have the right temperament for that.
