I wonder if Conservatism could survive 3 or more term-for-life Supreme Court appointments...

My first though as well. Bret is the type of guy who if this was May 1980 would be writing articles on why Reagan can’t win the election.

The best hope for what’s left of a serious conservative movement in America is the election in November of a Democratic president, held in check by a Republican Congress.

The author calls his own intelligence into question by insulting ours. We have a Republican congress and a Democrat president.

The Republicans have done NOTHING to hold Obama "in check." Quite the contrary.

In fact, it was the Republican failure to stand up to Obama after the 2014 mid-terms that caused me to change my life-long registration from Republican to Unenrolled.

No, no, a thousand times no! While “conservatism” will survive forever (there will always be people people who believe in reality), America may not. Eight or even four years of Hillary making appointments to the Supreme Court will long delay the restoration of Constitutional rule in this country.

Should such a nightmare scenario actually take place, voters will refer to that particular incarnation of the court as "the #NeverTrump Court"...

... and history will rightly judge those marching in sync with the #NeverTrump know-nothings as traitors -- both to conservatism, AND to their country.

So-called ‘conservatives’ like Bret Stephens have carved out a nice little niche moaning about the status quo. They have nice houses, nice cars and take nice vacations.

But the last thing they want is the status quo to change in any way lest the nice things go away.

Enabling, condoning and electing a proven liar who is also likely an alcoholic is the farthest thing from conservative I can conjure up.

Yeah, I don’t think so.

Bret Stephens has just written the propaganda piece of the year. His understanding of what Americans stand for, how they reacted to the The Benghazi massacre of 4 Americans and later 2 more Marines....that debacle was peddled to the world...was a LIE!!

The CPUSA has taken hold of America....otherwise this horrid woman would not be allowed to run for any elected office.
