I thought Carson was doing this, but not complaining for sure
I’ve always gotten the impression that Donald simply wants to give Carson ‘busywork’ to keep him harmlessly occupied. These ‘busywork’ duties being preferred to having Carson (the respected surgeon and sole Black candidate) as an enemy.
Carson still has a contingency that could ‘make trouble’ for Donald if they were directed by Carson to support someone other than Trump. Lewandowski is there to get the job done, but now knows he also needs to act less impulsively, and stay out of the headlines.
The same thought here, as well. Perhaps Dr. Carson will be offering his expertise in other areas?
