I didn't say I admired him. I admire persistence in general.
Guess you really admired the way Hitler plotted his attacks while holed up in his bunker...

” Cruz and Ryan, in some ways are more dangerous than Obama.”

Indeed because they will still be around after January.

You know, at this point I am sorry that I ever supported Cruz. He’s made an utter ass of himself, and he’s made it obvious why no one in the Senate really likes him. I am sorry that it has come to this - he is doing himself, his family, his party and his country no good at all with this garbage. He needs to accept the fact that he beat 15 out of 16 of his opponents, and that there may be a next time...but not if he continues this crap. Trump said it himself - Cruz has a bright future. But it is getting dimmer with every day that passes in which he doesn’t endorse Trump to defeat Hillary.

Me too, like many of us, I saw him as a possible Trump VP and sent him money..

We were all fooled by this sleazy, two faced, slimy snake.

Back in the woodshed, Ted. YOU’RE FIRED.

Ted, John, Bernie, Hillary and the rest of the current and some of the former gang of 535 should be in federal prison.

I didn’t think the slimy, lying narcissist Canadian LAWYER could do the honorable thing and stay out of it.

Go back to Canada, Cruz. We don’t want you and Texas doesn’t want you.

How so? Cruz owes Trump less than nothing. If Trump is nominated, he is no more likely to campaign for Trump than Reagan campaigned for Jerry Ford back in 1976. You probably don’t recall how bitter Reagan was about that loss, And while you are looking, please notice that Rubio says he will not accept the VP slot under Trump. Both men are young and ambitious.

I actually think Reagan was out of line when he campaigned against Jerry Ford because Ford was an incumbent president. Sure, Nixon appointed him veep and he inherited the office, but one generally sticks with the incumbent if he is running. Besides, after the Watergate debacle, it was probably just as well that Jerry lost to Jimmuh. It made Reagan look that much better 4 years later.

Cruz seems to be still beating the "contested convention" drum. No good will come of that. Just makes him look like he hungers for the office too much.

Plenty of people have voted for Cruz. As for his creds, you sound envious . Cruz would have had the moon if he had chosen to take the liberal route. And I suppose that Trump really is just like “old Biob” down at the country store. He picked up on the “working man” jive when he was a young guy working at construction sites. But I doubt he has ever slept over anywhere in a working class neighborhood.

Cruz worked his way through the maze of state party rules. He didn’t create them. Trump has depended on the understandable ignorance of these rules on the part of the average voter. Trump did pick up on the way that the rules were front loaded to favor the early frontrunner and successfully pushed to got to the head of the pack. He was helped by the sheer number of candidates. If Bush had not stayed in after New Hampshire and had not spent so much effort against Rubio, Rubio would have done much better in SC despite his flop in NH. The Bushies were pissed that Rubio did not support Bush. The irony is, it seems to me, that Jeb himself did not have his heart in the race.

Cruz is pushing for a “conservative”platform. If Trump blows it off and loses, Cruz can present himself as the conservative champion in 2020. If Trump wins, his VP, whosever, will have the inside track. With Rubio out, for the moment, it seems like fat boy is the favorite since he has been assigned the transition role. But Trump will choose whoever he needs when he looks at the way things are this summer. Anything could happen. Hillary is not only old but looking a bit green around the gills these days.

Yes, he managed to fool quite a few, didn’t he? Then we all learned what a sleazy phony he actually was.

Will be interesting to see how TrusTED he is in the 2018 senate race.

He got a lower percentage of the 2012 vote than Romney did in Texas. When I used to mention that, the FR Cruzers went nuts.
