The union pension time bomb is starting to explode across the country.
When it explodes in the private sector it goes away, but for government workers we are often forced to have our taxes raised to pay for what I consider a criminal act.
You’re right; any article like this could as easily been written about my home state of NJ or neighboring NY, or Illinois. It isn’t just people fleeing because they don’t want the high taxes; they are fleeing because they have to follow the EMPLOYERS FLEEING HIGH TAXES.
In these areas there are Welfarians (who contribute nothing but consume heavily from the public teat), the government worker caste (who pay taxes in return for much higher salaries and better benefits than most people paying them, and the “hosts” (companies and individuals bled dry by the first and second groups). How long can the third group stay around?
