I tend to agree with you. I’d like to see a poll of Trump’s support among working-class, blue-collar Democrats. I suspect that the significant increase in turnout for Republican primaries is due to Democrat crossover votes.
Ham Rove was on O’Reilly last night with his pathetic whiteboard showing how the Romney and Bush campaigns handled their R attrition and D crossovers. The numbers were quite similar with Bush getting a point or two more in crossover than Mitt.
His larger point was Trump can’t win (shocking prediction considering the source) because he’s losing a much larger percentage of Rs than the others. No mention about Independants or crossovers which he knows full well is significant and in all probability will more than offset R defection.
