Wealthy Cruz Donor Pours Millions Into Clinton Campaign
Observer ^ | 5-9-16 | Michael Sainato

enaissance Technologies, a hedge fund founded by billionaire James Simons, donated over $13 million to Sen. Ted Cruz’s failed presidential campaign. For a guy who’s supposed to be pretty smart with his money, the ROI on that one has got to sting. Nevertheless, now that Mr. Cruz is out of the race, Mr. Simons has begun pouring millions of dollars into Hillary Clinton‘s campaign, with Renaissance Technologies donating over $2 million to Ms. Clinton so far this election cycle. Euclidean Capital—also owned by Mr. Simons—has given the Clinton campaign over $7 million in contributions, and such figures are likely to increase as Ms. Clinton slowly transitions her attention from Democratic Primary opponent Bernie Sanders to the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, Donald Trump.

This article may shed some light:

Why Billionaires Like James Simons Donate Millions to Clinton and Cruz
America's elite don't support Establishment candidates because they're passionate about campaign platforms

Disclaimer: it's in the paper Donald Trump's son-in-law publishes (and the author supports Bernie Sanders).

98% of both parties in D.C. sold their soul to the devil for money. It is hilarious that ONE wealthy man can’t be bought : )

This is a talking point against hillary. She’s the pol of the insiders, at a time when a majority of US citizens are fed up with bought and paid for pols. Not only that, now we can tie losin’ Ted Cruz to hillary. Not surprising, with his Goldman/Sachs wife.

>>Real principled type there. From backing Cruz to backing hildabeast?

Of course, makes TOTAL SENSE. Many posters have been trying to make this reality clear.

Uniparty

Clinton=Bush=Cruz=Globalist Boys Network

Hopefully, with DJT heading the new GOP, there will be a major shift of these people to the Dems.

At that point:

Dems = Globalists

Pubs = Nationalists

From Cruz to Clinton. Yeah, that’s not about access and goodies, is it?

Hillary has principles. You can go to her web site and read the most recent list. They change a couple of times a day.

Those with Christian morals and principled conservative values are donating to Cruz.

If Trump gets the nomination he’s already the defacto leader of the party. making sure he loses doesn’t change that. He can remake the GOP in any manner he wants to. He can decide which candidates get money etc etc. Not sure what purpose this serves. Oh well, 150 million didn’t help Jeb!

Wealthy Cruz Donor Pours Millions Into Clinton Campaign

The headline is a lie.

Renaissance Technologies was founded by James Simon. Renaissance Technologies is now run by conservative Robert Mercer. It was Robert Mercer who donated ~13 million to the Cruz campaign.

Simons has been a Democratic contributor for a long time. This time he hedged his bet. His successor at the company, Robert Mercer, is a big Cruz supporter.

Now Hillary is trying to follow in the footsteps of those other two by attaching herself to the Republican donor class.”

Give that enough press and visibility and it’ll pi$$ off even more Dem voters considering a Bernie vote.
