This story is an example why the republican party consistently loses against the progressive left. In response to the ridiculous, albeit recent, NC bathroom laws

The surrender monkeys are at it again. The left is using bathrooms as the wedge, because bathroom controversies can be trivialized and mocked. But this is about much more than just bathrooms. If you have been paying attention to the rapid accretion of regulations, guidance documents, and policy statements now on the table, "sex," which is binary (leaving out the hermaphrodites), is being superseded as a legal category by "gender," defined as open, fluid, and self identified.

Bathrooms are the least of it. By entirely lawless regulatory fiat, under the fraudulent cover of Title IX, an absolute right is being asserted for mentally ill boys to invade girls dressing rooms and showers, to play on girls athletic teams, and to be treated in every respect like a girl. And we see once again the solidarity of the left, as the feminist lobby apparently has no problem with this.

This will be used as a sledgehammer against any institution that dares to resist. That, I suspect, is the real goal. Catholic and other religious schools will be forced to mix the sexes inappropriately. They will be forced to either abandon fundamental tenants of sexual and body modesty or go out of business. The left would regard either course as a victory, although forcing non-state schools (colleges, hospitals, charitable organizations, etc.) out of business is undoubtedly the preferred result.

And now, because Donald Trump doesn't understand why this is a problem, we will be lectured by the Trumpkins why it is stupid to resist.

And now, because Donald Trump doesn't understand why this is a problem,

Word for word, please tell us exactly what Trump said about this matter.

No editorializing, no Cruz talking points, just the exact reply he gave to a question, please.

No, because we understand that these are local issues not Federal ones.

Trump understands it; it is that YOU don't know what Trump said about this.

Nor do you know what a president can and can NOT do about such things. This is a STATE matter and trump said so !

No Mr. Sphinx, we Trumpkins are not at all stupid, some Trumpkins, including Mr. Trump himself, are not thinking clearly on this particular issue.

Instead of calling us names, why don’t you join us, and help those of us who do see the problems with this, persuade our fellow Trumpkins about why Senator Cruz is correct about this (and he is!) Then, united, we need to let Mr. Trump know our position and insist this be a plank in our platform!

Practially speaking, we are not going to get the transgender/transvestite/homosexual vote anyway, and we can get a lot of votes from people who are very concerned about this, who might otherwise vote for the democrat.

I remember way back when, when Phyllis Schafly was trying to (successfully) block the ERA. She said then that passing the ERA would lead to unisex bathrooms, and all of the other laws written to protect women would be declared unconstitutional! The liberal supporters of the ERA were saying, oh no, these things would never happen!

And now we see, the left is trying to force this on us, essentially putting the horrible ERA amendment in place, that fails to protect women!
