I think the author is wrong to use the qualifier "sexual." This is part of a dialectical revolution against normalcy of all kinds. We've passed the point of mere divergence and reached absurdity, where we're supposed to let the government and a handful of elitists tell us that girls are boys and up is down and wrong is right and deviance is normal. THAT is what this is about: who gets to define the boundaries that describe a society?
The author does eventually make that point.
For a slightly different take than the original story, and more in line with post #6:
