There has been a shift in our society concerning things like this. Things that once we’re taboo that are now acceptable.
What is most troubling is that there has always been stalwarts opposing deviant behaviour, but a glance through several posts here on Free Republic it seems that the shift appears to be happening even amongst those that call themselves conservative.
It’s a sad day in America and I fear that more damage is to be done to conservative ideas and principles in the years to come. The minority standing against this will still be there, but if recent months show anything, that minority is growing smaller

Destabilization is the second step. The radicalization and promotion of factions that are enemies to the state. Ferguson was a trail balloon. This step take 2 to 5 years.
Then comes crisis/conflict. Takes about 6 weeks. Violent overthrow of government.
Final step is Normalization. Full on Marxism. Lasts indefinitely. Can only be removed through military force.
