Paul Ryan is not too swift in the brain department. By opening his not-too-bright-yap, he has doomed himself politically. By inviting Donald J. Trump to meet with him and his cronies is a serious, unrepairable mistake. Ryan should be going to the “Leader of the Republican Party”, Donald J. Trump...not the other way around!!! This fool, Paul Ryan has no street smarts whatsoever!!! SAD!!!

Still can’t get over Stepie’s comment that Bill should be off limits because he is the spouse. That is the height of media spin. An ex-President who is the only reason she is getting votes should be off limits. Unbelievable.

Did you hear Paul Manafort on FOX say Trump's base was upset with DC because of GRIDLOCK?

Was that stupid or what?

In all my years here at Free Republic I've NEVER heard anyone complain that democrat thugs didn't push our guys around in Congress FAST enough. The 'gridlock' thing is a democrat talking point and has nothing to do with why we're backing Trump.

I think many of these resentful jealous politicians are lazy compared to Trump. They do not have high energy and are not very impressive. Most of them draw small crowds and never attract new members to the party . They may even get jobs because of who they know, not what they know. Riding the old gravy train is the scheme. All of sudden someone appears who shows some hustle and they are threatened. We get a weak speaker saying “I am not ready.”
He looked weak when he spoke. He didn’t not look like someone who wants to lead.

Paul Ryan is not exciting as a candidate. Gingrich just said he made a big mistake. He may not be the speaker next year. He may be sent back home to watch cows in a pasture.

Thanks for that info. I was disappointed in Ryan's stance, and hoped there would be significant backlash, other than here on FR.

If we wanted wanted Jeb and his friends to run the party we would have elected Jeb.

We did NOT.

What about this is so confusing to members of the press?

The Open Borders cabal is certainly throwing BIG $$ at stopping Trump. Watching these GOPee hacks spin MORE than the lib MSM is truly something.

The press wants the GOP divided. The issues shift to the GOP and not Clinton’s criminal activities. We hear more about the GOP being divided by Romney, and not much about Hillary’s enormous negatives.

See 116. If I didn’t know any better, I’d swear Chris Wallace is a Hillary supporter. Manafort was awesome.
