Only Conrad Black could imagine that Donald Trump is a centrist, he is an evolving conservative but of what variety remains to be seen. He could choose a more libertarian approach than some expect, but I think many of us are probably watching out for signs of an authoritarian shift. I don’t base this on the wall or the no-Muslim-immigration policies, those are more like delayed but necessary responses to correct past mistakes of other policy sets entirely. But anything that might involve massive oversight of the internet, for example, would be troubling.
I would imagine that in a different time, without those two issues on the agenda, Trump would be a fairly routine laissez-faire capitalist much like Conrad Black.
But centrist? cmon, Conrad, in American political terms somebody like Mitt Romney perhaps is a centrist.
More like 27 years, 3 months, 17 days, 1 hour and 25 minutes.
But who's counting?
In Canada, I would think it was 1968 also, except for these clues:
1. Instead of free love, now free lawsuit.
2. Toronto Maple Leafs suck.
3. wrong Trudeau.
4. can breathe the air in Hamilton.
More signs of a bad economy:
I was going to fire my investment advisor but he starved to death last week. The Nobel Prize for economics just went to the Finance Minister of Greece. Syrian refugees are pushing boats out into Long Island Sound. Mexico is building a wall and firing on anyone approaching it from the north.
You here all week? Tip the bartenders etc.
Ping!

You are oh so right!!! The American people have had their eyes opened as never before in our history!! We see the enemies within and we revile them.
We owe it to our military to give them a CIC worthy of their sacrifice. Likewise, we owe it to our military to not allow the person who left our men behind in Benghazi to ever get close to our WH again.

A tsunami on its way
Bob Woodward was and still is a liberal journalist to me and many others.
This is bizarre.
They call Trump a ‘centerist’ and yet as far as I can tell he’s running on the most conservative platform since Reagan in 84.
Is this a social issues thing, or just trying to split us more?
The way I look at it, if they try to put labels on Trump, they are against him...
The online media, talking heads and all the others that are backing Crooked Hillary are worthless...
His signature positions are definitely ‘centrist’, if one defines it as being in the political center.
His coalition is slightly right of center, but the center has moved right after 10 straight years of Pelosi/Reid/Obama.
‘Centrist’ is much better than the ‘fringe’ meme our own corrupt media is trying to implant on their sheep.
