And the 32ACP is actually closer to 8mm than the 8x22 Nambu.

It is only 0.775% smaller than 8mm. A negligible amount, don't you think?

And the 8x22 Nambu is 1.625% larger than 8mm.

And the 32ACP is much more common than the Nambu.

What other 8mm pistol do you think it could be?

I see what you are saying. My point is that if you go to an ammo seller and tell him you want some 8mm pistol ammo, I doubt that he’ll give you a box of 32 ACP.
