A few days ago I was bicycling to work in my steel toe boots and one of the 94,000,000 was sitting on a porch looking at a huge smart phone. He starts waving me over while looking at the phone so I assumed there was some funny or amazing thing he wanted to show me. He walks down the sidewalk in a robe and socks toward me. Then he says "Hey buddy, do you got some change for a cigarette". Are you F'n kidding me!!!

Just WOW.

I live on a fixed income & I know many others who also do so.

There isn’t any money left after paying bills to worry bout saving accounts & interest thereon.

Phone has gone up $28 in the past 5 years. Land Line ONLY. No cell phone of any kind. Vehicle insurance has gone up $25 a month. Have same vehicles since I bought them in 1981—1986—and 2001 respectively. NO tickets or accidents in over 30 years. Taxes are held to only 3% up each year. House insurance went up 12%.

All of this on a frozen social security income which has been frozen by the King in the White Hut 3 times out of the last 7 years.

Interest rates only bother us on our credit cards.
