Why did Paterno keep Sandusky on the staff after 1994?
I’m not sure of the importance of 1994.
For a period of time in the late 80’s and early 90’s, Jerry Sandusky was the hottest coaching prospect out there. Every time a big-school head coaching job opened up, his name was near the top of the list of candidates.
None of them ever hired him. And then he retired in his mid-50’s, which is awfully young for a football coach. Tells me a lot of people knew.
